Best doesn't really matter at the moment, since each tree has enough points to get all but 1 (usually) of the perks. Best does matter in the sense of what you should pick first and whether you should save perk points or not. Some other skills like Drinking are pretty obscure and most players probably won't notice the good perks they contain.

I had to start using starter weapons to compensate but it’s still so ridiculously easy to the point where it’s no longer fun for me.
